We are a family of four. Three of us have ADHD, and we don't know about the youngest yet. This is some of our journey through life.

About Joey
Joey was born January 7, 2000. He was 8 lbs. 9 oz. A big baby. He cried a lot from day one and was obviously a very strong willed, detemined little boy from the start. He also laughs a lot though. He is very outgoing, loves talking to people (even adults) and is also extremely tender-hearted and compassionate towards others. Joey was diagnosed with ADHD by his pediatrician when he was around 4 years old. We tried giving him Adderall XR when he started Kindergarten and got in trouble a lot. It seemed to help for quite some time. However, in fall 2007 he developed some tics that could be a result of the medication, so he is no longer taking any medication. He still gets great grades in school even without the medication, but he has a hard time pleasing his teachers who expect him to sit down and be still. He is having the most trouble with friendships though. He says he is teased often and sometimes bullied. The other kids see him as different and reject him.
